GAIGNERON GUILLOTIERE BRANCH

Jean GAIGNERON, 

Seigneur de la Guillotiére (1658-1728)

Branch II 

Saint Pierre, Martinique 

 

He was the second son of Claude GAIGNERON and  Anne AUBESTER. His brother was Claude GAIGNERON (1656).

Jean established the second branch of the Seigneurs de la GUILLOTIERE

Jean was born in Saint Pierre, Martinique on July 27, 1658 and was by profession a surgeon. He died March 19, 1728. He was Captain of Militia and Surgeon

He married on June 10, 1680 in Fort-de-France (Martinique) Marie Le BRUMMENT.

Biographical Note:
Marie Le BRUMMENT was the  daughter of Louis, Seigneur de Saint Marie (1608) and  member of the Superior Council of the island of Guadalupe and Anne LEBFEBRE.


Jean and Marie had ten children:

I. Louis GAINGERON  (1683-1728)

 II. Jean-Claude-Charles GAIGNERON de la COSSONNIERE, Militia Captain. He married in 1723 Catherine-Rose MENANT and issued several children.


III.  Jacques GAIGNERON-MORIN (1689). He married in 1722 Marie-Marthe MONNEL DUPLESSIS and issued:

a) Marthe-Victoire married in 1745 Antoine Claude PLATELET de la GRANGE (1718-1786) and issued: (Marthe-Ursule, Charles-Antoine-Lous-Régis, x, Jean-Baptiste-Joseph, and X)


b) Marie-Anne-Ursule (+1808) married Jean-Charles PLATELET dela GRANGE de la TUILERIE (1727-1792) and issued.


Note: This line continues to the present day with the last name of DES ROBERT and whose lineage is presented by Louis-Artus des Robert (1983) among others.


 IV.  Paul GAIGNERON, sieur  de la de la Guillotière was born in 1699. He was Lieutenant of the Militia and married in 1727 Louise ARBOUSSET and die in 1746. He issued: 

a) Jacques
b) Françoise
c) Marie-Camille
d) Victoire-Catherine
e) Marie-Marthe
f) Camille-Elizabeth 

V. Jean GAIGNERON, Seigneur de MARESTS

VI. Luce GAIGNERON. Married March 19, 1728 to Jean VIVENS, Cavalry Officer 

VII. Marie-Rose GAIGNERON. Married Jean Baptiste Laurent du FOND, Officer in the Militia

VIII. Marie  GAIGNERON. Married Laurent des GAILLES, Lieutenant in the Militia

IX. Marie Jeanne GAIGNERON. Married Jean Baptiste BOUTEAU des ETANGS

X. Madeleine-Victoire GAIGNERON married on March 19, 1723 Alphonse de FONTY, Écuyer and Marine Captain at the French garrison of at the Fort de la Trinité
