The Réal del Sarte Family (1929-Present)


The Réal del Sarte [Philippy Bucelly d'Estrées] and 

the Gaigneron-Jollimont-de Marolles

 

In 1927,  Berthe (1903-1991) , the daughter of the Count  Marie- Louis- Olivier de GAIGNERON-JOLLIMONT de MAROLLES and  Christine Marie Berthe (née  Baroness de GRANT de LUXOLIÈRE de BELLUSSIÈRE) married the composer and decorated veteran of World War I, Yves REAL del SARTE (of the House of Philippy Bucelly d' Estrées).

The Count and Countess de Gaigneron de Marolles have the honor to make you part of the marriage of Miss Berthe de Gaigneron de Marolles, their daughter, to Mr Yves Real del Sarte

Due to a recent state of mourning, the Nuptial Benediction was given on December 31, 1927 at the Church of Saint Francis de Sales

Mr. and Mrs Maxime Real del Sarte have the honor to make you part of the marriage of their brother and brother-in-law, Mr. Maxime Real del Sarte to Miss Berthe de Gaigneron de Marolles.

The couple issued: 
    1. Serge Réal del Sarte (1929) married Marie Claude MAGNIER and issued. 
    2. Géneviève Réal del Sarte (1933-1984) married Hubert-Pierre-Marie MARTY-VILLARD (1936-2013) and issued. 

    1. Christian Réal del Sarte (1935-1959) Died in Algeria.in 1959. He was a Sub-Lieutenant and  member of the  6e Régiment de Parachutistes Coloniaux. No issue. MORT POUR LA FRANCE
    1. Olivier Réal del Sarte (1944) married Géneviève PASQUIER and issued.


    Yves Real del Sarte and World War I 


    Yves as well has his other two brothers: Maxime and Serge were held captive by the German forces. Thanks to the royalist contacts that the Réal del Sarte brothers had, the King of Spain, His Majesty Alfonso XIII personally intervened to liberate Yves  in the form of a letter sent to the German Ambassador in Madrid asking for his release. Upon his release, several french newspapers such as the "Figaro" and the "Gaulois" covered the story:

    My dear friend:

    I have the honor to inform you that His Majesty, The King, my August Master has asked me to write on his behalf to His Ambassador in Berlin to do everything possible to obtain the internment in Switzerland of  Mr. Yves Real del Sarte for whom His Royal Highness the Infante Don Carlos has expressed a great interest.

    The composer Yves Réal del Sarte suffered 47 months in captivity during which he composed "Chant d'Amour" later published in "Dessins de guerre".

    Yves Réal del Sarte was born into a great artistic family:
    The father Désiré Louis Réal del Sarte (1852-1909) was a sculptor and the mother, Marie Magdeleine Blanche Geneviéve DelSarte  (1853-1927) was a painter.
